Antibody Production

In Vitro & In Vivo Production

Precision Antibody™ offers both in vivo and in vitro monoclonal antibody production, from pilot scale to large-scale manufacturing. Customers have a choice of methods to produce large quantities of monoclonal antibodies. Our in vitro method allows us to produce antibodies up to gram quantities. Precision Antibody employs various in vitro culture techniques including, roller bottle, bioreactors, and hollow fiber. One advantage of the in vitro method is that monoclonal antibodies can be produced in animal protein free environment.

We also have a nude mice facility for ascities production. Occasionally, we encounter hybridoma cells that do not produce monoclonal antibodies in in vitro systems. Ascites production in nude mice can be used as an alternative method to produce these monoclonal antibodies. Additionally, ascites production often yields high concentrations of monoclonal antibody. We prefer to use nude mice for ascites production to eliminate the contamination of endogenous mouse IgG.
